The MFS1S00-H005V complies with SFF-8665 (QSFP56 electrical) and SFF-8636 (management interface). It uses 4x 50Gb/s PAM4 modulation over multimode fiber (OM3/OM4). Supports InfiniBand HDR (IBTA 1.5) and 200GBASE-SR4 Ethernet. Integrated CDR (Clock and Data Recovery) per lane with rate select for 25.78125 GBd NRZ (EDR) or 26.5625 GBd PAM4 (HDR). RoHS compliant.
The MFS1S00-H005V converts electrical 50Gb/s PAM4 signals from the host into optical signals using four VCSEL lasers at one end. These signals travel over multimode fiber and are converted back to electrical by photodetectors at the far end. The integrated retiming function reconditions the signal using CDR circuits, reducing jitter and extending reach. Digital diagnostics continuously monitor link health, providing real-time feedback via I²C interface.
